
Christopher M. Von Maack
CHRISTOPHER M. VON MAACK is licensed to practice law in both Utah and California. He practices commercial and complex commercial litigation, including in the areas of contract, copyright, intellectual property, partnership, real property, trade secret, trademark, and unfair competition.
Mr. Von Maack graduated with a degree in English and a specialization in Business Administration from UCLA in 2001. He obtained his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in 2004, where he graduated Order of the Coif and was a writer and editor for the McGeorge Law Review. Mr. Von Maack earned Witkin Awards for the top grade in legal writing and international water law. He also served as teaching assistant to Professor Gregory C. Pingree in the subjects of torts and professional responsibility.
Mr. Von Maack served as a law clerk for the Honorable Pamela T. Greenwood of the Utah Court of Appeals. He is a member of the Utah Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Professionalism, Utah Professionalism Liaison Committee, and David K. Watkiss-Sutherland II Inn of Court, and chair of the Utah State Bar Young Lawyers Division Governmental Relations Committee. He was previously co-chair of the Utah State Bar Young Lawyers Division committee on Professionalism and the Practice of Law.
Mr. Von Maack is an Honorary Colonel of the Salt Lake City Police Department/Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office. He served on the McCain 2008 Utah Finance Committee and is a Trustee for the Utah Heritage Foundation.
Mr. Von Maack maintains an AV Preeminent peer-review rating and a Preeminent client-review rating by Martindale-Hubbell (TM). He has consistently been included on the list of Super Lawyers (TM) - Rising Stars, an honor given to only the top 2.5% of attorneys practicing in the Intermountain West. He has also been voted by his peers as one of Utah's Legal Elite, as published in Utah Business Magazine.
